701x Partners with Skylo to Bring Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) Connectivity to Cattle Management

701x, an innovator in the precision livestock space, is excited to announce its partnership with Skylo, the pioneer in Non-Terrestrial Network communications.

[Fargo, ND] 701x, an innovator in the precision livestock space, is excited to announce its partnership with Skylo, the pioneer in Non-Terrestrial Network communications. This partnership will enable 701x to leverage Skylo’s advanced satellite-based network to enhance its cattle management systems, improving data reliability and expanding coverage to remote areas without terrestrial cellular coverage starting in early 2025.

As part of its mission to revolutionize livestock management, 701x will begin Skylo’s device certification program for their xTpro smart ear tag. This strategic move aligns with 701x's commitment to provide the technology needed to do more with less, enabling producers to join the new era of precision ranching.

“Partnering with Skylo marks a significant step in our journey to create a fully integrated network for livestock management at an affordable price,” said Kevin Biffert, CEO of 701x. “With Skylo’s NTN connectivity, we can ensure our users get complete monitoring of their herd every single day, no matter where their cattle are” Biffert stated.

The rollout of Skylo’s NTN technology will enhance the capabilities of both 701x’s current customers and the expanded user base from its recent acquisition of DigitalBeef LLC, a leading livestock registry software provider.
